Alive Family Services of Philadelphia is an organization dedicated to the fight against HIV/AIDS. AFSP started in response to the devastating impact that HIV/AIDS is having in our communities. The organization engages Black, brown, and Latino populations and meets the evolving needs of our diverse community in response to the epidemic. AFSP currently offers HIV/AIDS prevention and care services, including (but not limited to) HIV Medical Case Management, HIV/STD Screening, linkage Services, and referrals to other services.

AFSP serves and transforms lives with a continuum of care that provides access, linkage, and retention to HIV care. The continuum begins with proven effective HIV prevention education that averts new infections, encourages HIV testing, and promotes early HIV diagnosis. Each client is linked with primary health care and comprehensive services that work in concert with one another to improve health, provide basic needs, address mental health and other issues, and improve quality of life.

Each program is proven effective at improving health outcomes as measured by reduced viral loads and higher CD4 counts, the two key indicators of health for those who are HIV-positive. In the area of HIV outreach and education. AFSP continues to actively work in communities of high impact to reach those most at risk of HIV and/or living without knowing their status.
