AFSP strives to improve the lives of people living in Philadelphia by providing HIV education, case management, and advocacy.  We also provide housing, food,and transportation resources for positive persons in need.

HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a virus which can cause an  infection if you are exposed to an infected person’s blood or body  fluids. AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) can result when HIV  infection goes untreated. AIDS means the immune system has been damaged  by the virus and can no longer fight off infections.

We organize workshops, food drives, and health fairs to connect with those in need and promote awareness about available services. Join us in making a difference in our neighborhood.

About Alivefamilyservices

AFSP offers a variety of programs designed to meet the diverse needs of our community. From counseling services to food assistance, our programs aim to create lasting positive change.

 If you have tested positive for HIV, we are here to help. We offer free, confidential case-management services for people living with HIV/AIDS in the Philadelphia area. 

 Working with individuals to ensure access and encourage adherence to health care and medical case management. 

AFSP strives to end new HIV infections by eliminating stigma, engaging people in wellness, removing barriers to care, and restoring dignity. 


AFSP strives to reduce HIV stigma by focusing on education, open conversations, and supportive actions.  We address misconceptions about HIV transmission and treatment, by creating a safe spaces for sharing experiences and advocating for policies that protect against discrimination to help dismantle stigma  surrounding HIV .

Our office is open from 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday. However, some programs and events may have different hours or operate on weekends.

We offer financial assistance on a case-by-case basis, depending on the individual's needs and circumstances.
